Burberry Liquid Lip Velvets!

I’ve been debating back and forth whether or not to purchase these liquid lip velvets due to the price, but upon swatching them in store I decided to try out the two shades I thought would suit me best. I purchased No. 17 Dark Rosewood and No. 49 Bright Plum.

  • These liquid lip velvets come housed in a sleek frosted plastic with a black cap that has the burberry checked pattern on it.
  • They have a good weight to them and would be compact enough to fit in my purse without taking up too much room

No. 17 Dark Rosewood

  • Matte mauve pink
  • On lighter skin tones it will appear a darker mauve and on darker skin tones it will appear more nude

No. 49 Bright Plum

  • Matte cool toned magenta
  • On lighter skin tones this will appear brighter, darker skin tones it will appear as a dark magenta nude

The texture of these are not your typical liquid lipstick as we’ve come to expect. This is more of a matte cream whipped texture, and is reminiscent of a mousse rather than a dried down liquid lipstick. Because they retain their creaminess, they are not transfer resistant. The wear time for me is typically 3-4 hrs depending on what I’m eating and how often. They do leave a staining effect and wear off evenly. If you’re not a fan of liquid lipsticks I would recommend trying these out since they are lighter feeling on the lips. I def recommend and will be purchasing more!
